Modern farmhouse bleached wood tall dresser French chest of drawers – $1,095 (vallejo / benicia)
Gorgeous natural raw bleached wood tall dresser. This antique French provincial chest of drawers is where rustic meets chic. This piece took me a solid week from start to finish and I’m so thrilled with the way it turned out. This piece was sanded down to bare wood (some of the old finish was left in cracks and crevices on purpose to make it more interesting) the wood was then bleached, and bleached again, and again- white washed, and sealed with some dark wax and white wax for a perfect buttery smooth to the touch matte finish.
This piece is solid wood and features 6 smooth dovetail drawers, stunning wood grain, beautiful curves, moulding and feet, and those striking French hardware pulls with a bronze patina set this piece off perfectly. This piece is truly a one of a kind and won’t last long.

Amy Nichole’s Distressed Paint Technique
Amy Nichole posted a beautiful picture of a paint finish she has been able to achieve using Rustoleum’s White Linen chalk paint and dark wood stain. She applies the stain close to when the white chalk paint is almost dried. Wouldn’t you say this is a spectacular paint finish? Give the technique a try for yourself.
